As you know, we love to travel and since we have had kids we have enjoyed staying in people’s homes occasionally just to give us a different experience.
Now if you ask our eldest she prefers hotels but sometimes you come across a gem like this one in Zagreb where the owner had put so much thought into the little things dotted around the apartment that it made this place to stay a highlight of our time in Croatia.
Today I am just sharing the bits in the kitchen. All completely accessible to you as the majority of the items came from Ikea and I have pulled together just a few here to get you thinking. The sign on the shelf was true to form – we smiled everytime we came back “home” and the thoughtful coffees, teas and cookies (all native to Croatia, well apart from the Nespresso) were lovely treats once the kids were in bed.
So if you are looking for a great place to stay in Zagreb, check it out here and watch out for other snippets of this apartment in posts to come.
